As the Easter holiday approaches it fills us with hope and a renewal of spirit. The spring season reinforces this beauty with the gorgeous flowers and rebirth of our natural surroundings after the colder months. As we rejoice in this holy week and gather with family and friends, I thought it would be fun to highlight some events taking place around Beaufort and some DIY activities you can do with your family.
April 14-16- The Easter Wagon Journey- Sea Pines Forest Preserve, Hilton Head Island
Hop aboard the lovely red wagon for a spring exploration with the family, while playing I-Spy along the way. Reservations are required.
April 16- 11:30 am- 2022 Eggstavaganza Egglympics- MCRD Parris Island MCX- 409 Wake BLVD, Parris Island
Each unit must participate in all four events with a member of the command team in each event. The events will be as follows: Egg & Spoon Relay Race, The Bunny Hop Sack Race, Punch Cup Relay, and the Egg Drop.

It’s the annual Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 0-9 years old! Bring your own basket and get ready for spring fun in the park. There will be music, face painting, the Easter Bunny, a bounce house, and more!
Looking to do some fun DIY projects at home with the kids (of all ages)? Here are some of our favorites!

Pom-Pom Bunny Tail Garland- Super easy for kids because you use a template! And the kids just love it. All you’ll need is a bunny template, scrapbook paper, yarn, and pom poms! Tutorial here.
Spring Sugar Scrub- For the older kids and adults, make a great Easter basket gift! These cute little carrots are filled with an exfoliating sugar scrub. You’ll need cello bags, raffia, satin green ribbon, sugar, olive oil, orange icing color, essential oils, scissors, and a hole punch. A wonderful gift idea. Tutorial here.
