Celebrating the 4th of July in Beaufort 2022!

It’s time for the Lowcountry to show off its Red, White, and Blue with some patriotic fun this weekend in celebration of our nation's Independence Day! What are your favorite ways to celebrate the 4th of July? Whether it be a great BBQ, parade, family events, or spectacular fireworks display…the Beaufort area has something for everyone!
Begin your day as a participant or spectator at one of the 5K runs! The Firecracker Run is Monday, July 4th from 8:00- 10:00 am in Downtown Beaufort and benefits Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity and HELP of Beaufort. Race details can be found here. The USA 5K at Hilton Head Island is also on Monday, July 4th from 8:00 – 10:00 am at Coligny Beach Park and benefits Sea Turtle Patrol of Hilton Head Island. Race details are found here.
4Th of July Parade at the Sea Pines Resort. July 4th from 8:30 to 10:00 am in Harbour Town bring the kids and your furry family members too while showing off your red, white, and blue patriotic decorating of bikes, strollers, and more. You’ll meet in the parking lot, pick up decorating supplies and let those creative juices flow. The parade begins at 9:30 followed by a carnival and inflatables.
Salute from the Shore! Our annual July Fourth Military Flyover honoring our military. The fighter jets are to arrive at the Sea Pines Beach Club at 1:30 pm, followed by vintage military planes from the South Carolina Air National Guard’s 169th Fighter Wing at McEntire Joint National Guard Base. Always a must-attend event on the 4th of July.
FIREWORKS DISPLAY
Harbourfest 4th of July Fireworks and Fun
Hilton Head Island is showcasing Miss Shannon Tanner’s special patriotic family show from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, and kids activities and Cappy the Clown from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. There will also be train rides for the kids around the promenade! The Fireworks display will begin around 9:15 pm (dusk).
The best weekend of summer will be here and gone before we know it, so it’s important to soak up the sun and all of the memories that ensue with your closest family and friends! Thankfully for all of us in the Lowcountry, we are surrounded by events that are family-friendly, patriotic, and the perfect way to come closer as a community.
Wishing you all a safe & happy 4th of July weekend.
