Fall Trends that are a must for 2022!!
The Fall season is upon us and bringing all its glorious colors and textures with us. What’s the best way to honor the season of change you ask? By updating our homes to add the beauty and warmth the season brings! While many of us will cherish the bold hues of orange, red, and gold, this year the natural hues and textures are taking center stage. Still adding their coziness but keeping it subdued in boldness with a light organic feel and incorporating lots of interesting shapes and luxurious textures throughout the home. Here’s what the designers have chosen as their top picks this year.
Colors: Warm neutrals and earthy tones are where its at! Cinnamon, sand, terra cotta, oatmeal, muted greens, and the like are making their way into each room of the house. And the great thing is these muted tones work well with every style of interior.
Natural Woods: While always in style, natural woods are a compliment to every décor and can be used in a variety of ways. Whether you choose to incorporate a new piece of furniture or simply use pieces of décor throughout your home such as trays, picture frames, artwork, statues, and more. Natural woods give a calming and grounding effect to any room.
Textured Fabrics: We love using textured fabrics to give a room depth and dimension! Nubby fabrics, linen, velvet and more add so much to a room and when you use them with a muted Fall color scheme you get double the decorating punch. Swap out your throws and pillows, bedding and rugs for these heavier designs for a great Fall trend.
Rattan/Wicker: Woven elements and natural fibers add their own form of softness and hominess to any room…and it’s so easy to incorporate. Whether you choose a new lamp shade, a basket to store games or blankets, a statement piece on a table, or new bar stools in the kitchen, these natural elements really kick it up a notch.
Mix it up! Always opt for a little mix in your design details. Using a little vintage look with modern design details makes a room look interesting. This Fall's goal is not to fall prey to the “uniform” design. Your home doesn’t have to be all contemporary or modern. Have some fun, make it interesting. Make it homey. Make it YOU! Incorporate new design trends as they fit your personality. And most of all…ENJOY the beautiful season of change.
