Family-Friendly Halloween Events in Beaufort County!
Are the kids getting giddy over their costumes and the prospect of gathering candy for Halloween? As the spookiest of holidays approaches, we’re finding it hard for the kids and adults to contain their excitement for the big day. Here’s a round-up of the great family-friendly events taking place in the Beaufort area to consider attending.
Presented by the Sandbox Children’s Museum on Hilton Head Island, you’ll be treated to exhibits, a scavenger hunt, STEM & ART activities, and light refreshments. Don’t forget to wear your best costume too. October 30th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Halloween Scream & Monster Mash
The Beaufort County Library System & the Bluffton Branch Library teamed up for this spooktacular event! There will be snacks, games and a Halloween movie (PG rated). From 10:00 – 11:30 am kiddos are invited to attend the Monster Mash, in costume of course, where they will listen to monster stories, sing spooky songs and create monster crafts. Noon to 3:30 will be the snacks, games & Halloween movie. What a great way to spend the day. October 29th. Get more details here.
October 29th from 4:00 – 7:00 at The Tanger Outlets in Bluffton, bring the kids in the best costumes and let the dance with the DJ, enjoy some refreshments, pose in their costumes in the photo booth and even enter the costume contest.
Celebrate Halloween at Sea Pines Resort with trick or treating and activities for the kids around the Harbour! Make sure to come in costume and enjoy the afternoon. October 30th from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Safety reminders for a fun Halloween for all:
1. Costumes should be flame retardant & reflective.
2. Opt for hats and makeup vs face masks
3. Always wear comfortable shoes in the appropriate size.
4. Parents should inspect ALL candy before children eat any of it.
5. All children should be always accompanied by an adult when trick or treating or at an event.
6. If older children are attending an event, make sure you have the address and names of parents and hosts in advance.
WISHING YOU ALL A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN.
