Get your Jingle Bells Ready…The Holidays are Coming to Life this Weekend in Beaufort!!

We may not be dashing through the snow, but you will be treated to glorious displays of lights around the area, hot chocolate, seasonal entertainment, shopping, holiday movies, and more. It’s the Beaufort Holiday Weekend in Historic Downtown Beaufort.
A ‘Night on the Town’ begins December 2. Retail shops will stay open late while local choir groups will serenade, and dance groups and clubs will entertain all visitors. Don’t forget to bring your blankets and chairs to stay for the double-feature holiday movies at Waterfront Park. This year’s features are all-time favorites: Dr. Suess’s The Grinch and ELF! Hot Chocolate and Popcorn will also be provided- YUM!
Late-night shopping will take place from 6:00- 9:00 p.m. with the Parris Island Marine Corps Rock Band performing their greatest holiday tunes and the BEST part of the night takes place at 8:00 p.m. with Santa doing the official Christmas Tree lighting!!
Another holiday favorite and anticipated event is the full-stage musical, “Gullah Kinfolk Christmas Wish, Freedom Coming”. Presented by Aunt Pearlie Sue & the Gullah Kinfolk, it is a performance that depicts a historical account of December of 1860, the last Christmas before the Civil War. Audience members travel from near and far to be part of the holiday spirit.
December 3rd promises to be a taste sensation to start the day! Come back downtown for the Gullah Taste of Christmas event. Experience unique and tasty dishes from vendors across the Lowcountry. Once you’ve tasted all the delectable items your belly can hold, stay for the afternoon and evening at Waterfront Park for the Lighted Boat Parade. This is such an awesome event and a local favorite! Check out all the local boats decked out in Christmas lights and other decorations. It truly is an amazing site to behold.
The Holiday Weekend wraps up on December 4th at 3:00 pm Downtown Historic Beaufort with the Annual Christmas Parade, led by the big guy himself…SANTA!!
Get ready to join in the fun!!! Looking forward to an awesome holiday kick-off weekend.
