The Christmas season is beginning in the Beaufort area and the festivities are set to start this week. Are you ready for the fun to begin? Family-friendly activities are everywhere. From Christmas tree lightings and parades, meeting Santa, holiday boat parades, and more. Check out the wonderful events below going on this week and mark your calendars, so you don’t miss any of them.
Holiday Boat Lights at Shelter Cove Harbour and Marina- stroll the promenade and enjoy the beautiful holiday lights of the boats and the colorful winter wonderland of the marina. 7:00 – 10:00 pm through December 31st.
Beaufort Tree Lighting Ceremony & Night on the Town- From 6-9 pm enjoy entertainment, food, shopping and dining, and the Marine Corps Ensemble. Tree Lighting is at 8:00 pm.
Bluffton’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony & Santa’s Workshop- The tree lighting ceremony will take place at Martin Family Park at 5:30 pm with Santa’s Workshop following at the DuBois Park’s Pavilion. These are adjacent to each other on Boundary Street in the historic district.
Visit Santa at the Beaufort Inn! Experience a magical night at the Beaufort Inn. Enjoy hot cocoa & cider and a Christmas movie on the big screen in the Tabby Garden. Write a letter to Santa and get a professional photo with him as well! 5:30- 8:00 pm
Winter Wonderland Festival- A great event for families to kick off the holiday season! There will be a children’s parade, golden candy cane hunt, carnival games, rock climb, and more! The big guy may even make an appearance himself! Shelter Cove Community Park, Hilton Head Island, 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
Lighted Boat Parade- Join the City of Beaufort and America’s Boating Club of Beaufort in Historic Downtown at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park for the 2021 Holiday Boat Parade. A treasured holiday event you won’t want to miss! An array of colorful, brightly lit boats are on display. 5:30- 8:00 pm.
The town of Bluffton’s Christmas Parade- this is the 50th year of the annual parade! Starts at 10:00 am through Bluffton’s historic district.
Historic Holiday’s on Hilton Head Island- A celebration of sea island traditions kicks off with the Gullah market at Lowcountry Celebration Park from 11- 5 pm on Dec 4th. Then the drive-through holiday lights display through Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park the 4-6th. A true holiday tradition of the Lowcountry.
Beaufort Christmas Parade! December 5th at 3:00 pm will be the merry Beaufort Christmas Parade filled with themed floats, marching bands, fire trucks, and a visit from Santa himself! The parade will make its way down the traditional parade route through historic downtown Beaufort!
