Summertime brings lots of sunshine and fun and wonderful opportunities for our children. While it's always great to have some family and downtime once the school year has ended, the kids always start getting a little rambunctious after a few weeks of being at home. If you’re searching for a fantastic way to give them some fun, while learning new things and meeting new friends…a Beaufort area summer camp may just be the perfect solution. The best part is that there are a variety of summer camps to suit all ages and interests.

Beaufort Jasper YMCA
Looking for an adventurous day camp for youngsters 3-12? Then the YMCA may be perfect for you. The following camps are offered:
Kiddie Camp- Ages 3-4- Includes daily swim time, arts and crafts, storytelling, playtime, nature walks, pre-school activities, and more.
Traditional Camp- Ages 5-12- This camp is divided into age-appropriate groups with a strong emphasis on reading and mathematics. But don’t worry, a lot of fun will still be had! Daily swimming, nature activities, gym & team activities, as well as crafts and music.

The Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club
BYSC offers two summer camps. The first is for 1st grade through 12 years old and offers an active, safe environment with hands-on play for kids to explore the great outdoors this summer. Land and water-based activities will include games, crafts, boat tours, fishing, and wonderful sandbar adventures. The second camp is their sailing camp- which living in the Lowcountry is a must! USCB Center for the Arts
Do you have a blooming artist in your midst? If you answered YES, then you’ll want to check out the Creative Arts Summer Camp! Campers will let their artistic flair show by exploring the art of drawing and clay sculpture. They’ll also use mixed media art and turn trash into treasures through recycled art.
