It’s that time of year to make more incredible memories and have loads of fun at one of Beaufort’s favorite events of the year…The 66th Annual Beaufort Water Festival!! So many of our local businesses, military and civic organizations, and hundreds of volunteers donate hours of time and dollars to bring us the rich experience and time-honored tradition that we all hold so dear to our hearts. We are forever thankful to all for their efforts as we anxiously await the 10- day festival to begin.
If you’re new to the Beaufort area, the Water Festival starts on July 15th and culminates on July 24th and features an astonishing array of events and activities for the entire family. There is an amazing Arts & Crafts market showcasing many local and regional vendors, a wide variety of top entertainment nightly from Waterfront Park. You can expect to see the Parris Island Marine Band, Eli Young Band, Deas Guys, Island Time Band and more, plus a Golf Tournament, Fishing Tournament, Sailing Regatta, Cornhole Tournament, Badminton Tournament, Bocce Tournament, Children’s Toad Fishing Tournament, Raft Race, River Rally, Children’s Day, Ski Show, Air Show, Bed Race, Grand Parade and the beautiful Blessing of the Fleet and Parade of Boats. Whew…that is a lot going on in just 10 days! But oh, so much fun.
This is a Lowcountry tradition you won’t want to miss! The opening ceremony features the Parris Island Marine Band with fireworks at dusk. What better way to start the festival?? We hope to see you there enjoying all the charm, friendship, great food, and fun the Beaufort area has to offer.
