The Christmas season is beginning in the Beaufort area and the festivities are set to start this week. Are you ready for the fun to begin? Family-friendly activities are everywhere. From Christmas tree lightings and parades, meeting Santa, holiday boat parades, and more. Check out the wonderful events below going on this week and mark your calendars, so you don’t miss any of them.
December 1st:
Holiday Boat Lights at Shelter Cove Harbour and Marina- stroll the promenade and enjoy the beautiful holiday lights of the boats and the colorful winter wonderland of the marina. 7:00 – 10:00 pm through December 31st.
December 3rd:
Beaufort Tree Lighting Ceremony & Night on the Town- From 6-9 pm enjoy entertainment, food, shopping and dining, and the Marine Corps Ensemble. Tree Lighting is at 8:00 pm.

It’s a time to honor and remember those who have served to protect our freedom and the American way of life. November 11th is set aside to honor all these heroes and Beaufort is doing just that in many ways. Here are the events taking place around our area for you to participate in and thank our Veterans:
Veterans Day Parade- Downtown Beaufort
Parade line-up at 8:30 am
Parade- 10:00 am- 11:45 am
The parade route starts in front of the Beaufort National Cemetery and will head down Boundary Street, curve onto Bay Street, and end at the intersection of Boundary and Bladen Streets.
A Salute to Service: Military Appreciation
Naval Heritage Park, Port Royal
1:00 – 4:00 pm
A free community event to honor active duty, retired, and veteran service members.
